Jimmie Johnson Wins NASCAR Race
Jimmie Johnson picks up his first NASCAR win of 2008 after winning over the weekend at the Phoenix International Raceway. Johnson, the two time defending NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, took a gamble and did not pit for gas toward the end of the race as most of the other leaders did. The gamble paid off and he beat Clint Bowyer to win the race.   more...

Trevor Immelman held on to win the Green Jacket and the Masters golf tournament despite shooting a final round 75 on Sunday. Immelman held on to beat Tiger Woods by three shots; Woods shot an even par 72 on Sunday.   more...

Baseball Drops Series To Arkansas; Softball Sweeps
The University of Florida baseball team loses two of three games at home to the Arkansas Razorbacks this weekend after losing 10-4 on Sunday. The two teams had split the previous two contests. Florida (24-12, 9-6 SEC) trailed 3-0 and could never take a lead in the game after the Razorbacks scored those runs in the third inning. It didn't help the Florida made six errors on the day, resulting in four unearned runs being scored by Arkansas. With the win the Razorbacks improve to 19-15 overall and to 5-9 in SEC play.   more...
